FIVE OF THE MANY - LAUNCH - Duxford Air Show 8/9 September 2007

VETERAN SIGNED COPIES AVAILABLE (see Five of the Many page)

Four of the five attended the launch - Tony Iveson DFC (617 Squadron pilot), Joe Petrie-Andrews DFC, DFM (35 Squadron Pathfinder pilot), Harry Hughes DFC, DFM, AE (102 Squadron and 692 Squadron Navigator) and Rupert Cooling (9 Squadron pilot). Many thanks to all those at the Aviation Bookshop for hosting the launch!

Personally the weekend passed with sadness as I learnt of the recent death of Benny Goodman. Benny provided terrific support, as I carried out the research and writing - despite his illness. He was an outstanding pilot and had a distinguished RAF career to his name. It was a privilege to get to know him, even if it was only briefly. I extend my sincerest sympathy to his family.

Scribe Tiny Cooling adds his signature with Tony Iveson to his right.

Lectures

I am available to give talks on 'Sledgehammers for Tintacks', 'D-Day Bombers' and 'Five of the Few'. These are Powerpoint presentations and last just over an hour. There is a fee for this (from which I make donations to the RAF Benevolent Fund), which will depend on travel and time. Please contact me via the contact pages if you would like to discuss further.
